BIBLIOBURRO by Jeanette Winter
Biblioburro is the true-to-life story of Luis, a Colombian man who shares his collection of books with children in a neighboring village of Colombia. With two burros (small donkeys) to help Luis deliver books, the village children become excited about reading as much as Luis is. If the story doesn’t make you smile, the vibrant illustrations will. Among the many books about reading and libraries, Biblioburro is a fun read to showcase how individuals in another culture obtain and appreciate books. Check out this book from the Easy section under E WIN.
