Family story times are designed for families with children of all ages. Children must be accompanied by a participating adult. Join Donna Myers as she tells us some fun facts about Cherokee history and culture featuring Sequoyah's syllabary - the Cherokee alphabet - and artifacts. Registration is required. This program is for ages 6 and up; 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Are You a Dragonfly?

Join us as Kevin Smith of the Upper Etowah River Alliance teaches us about the life cycle of a dragonfly using the book Are You a Dragonfly? Afterwards, participants will have the opportunity to construct their own colorful dragonfly. Space is limited; registration is required. This program is for ages 5-8.

This program will teach youth about soil composition using fun foods like peanut butter, cookies, and sugar. Attendees will also have the opportunity to make plant pots out of newspapers.
