May Programs

After May 1st for Cherokee and Pickens Libraries and after May 3rd for Gilmer Library, there will be NO STORY TIMES UNTIL THE  WEEK OF JUNE 9TH.

At Sequoyah Regional Library System, during the month of May, we have reduced programming. We know you miss us, but we are busy visiting local schools, cutting out crafts, picking great books to read, and planning outstanding programs for all our wonderful patrons to enjoy in June and July. Soon we will have our full roster of summer library fun! In the meantime, be sure to check out the following programs:

These 10-15 minute programs encourage children 6 years of age and older to read by providing a non-judgmental, furry listener who won't laugh if you make mistakes or stumble over a word. Parents can register their child two weeks ahead for one session by calling the corresponding library. Children are asked to select their own reading material before their scheduled session. Call your local Cherokee and Pickens County Public Libraries to reserve your spot for one of our Reading Dog programs.
